Thanks to a Facebook ad, I discovered a new ad network that serves ads targeted locally for a Philippines audience.
The ad network's name is adserve.ph. And so far, it looks promising. The copyright at the bottom of the website shows only 2011 so I'm guessing that the ad network is pretty new. And it looks promising.
Application takes about a day and once you're in, you can start serving ads. Here are my inital observations or review -
Customization is a lot like Adsense - banner only / text only or both with the common ad shapes and sizes. You can change the colors of your ads on the fly and they have an immediate effect. A drawback is that once you have chosen your ad type (text/banner), you can't change it later. You also can't chane ad border colors. This can have a huge effect when you try to blend your ads to your site's layout.
You can choose if the ads will be based on your site's context or from keywords you specify. You enter the keywords manually in each code block you place.
Payment can be via Paypal, check or Bank Pay. You have to request a withrawal for paymetns. The minimum for Paypal is 500Php (around the same price as Chitika).
I just started serving ads earlier today and so far have gotten 400+ impressions with no clicks. Looks like it's gonna be another struggle with CTR. I'm just waiting to see how much each click pays.
Since the ad network is very young, ads are very limited. Of the four ads on one block that I see, two to three are from adserve.ph themselves. There is also a fear that the site might not pay. But so far, so good. I hope this goes well.

Up until now, I think Nuffnang is the only country-specific advertising network in the Philippines. We'll see if Adserve.ph can compete with them.

is adserve.ph compatible with google adsense? I could not see any adserve.ph ads here.
ReplyDeleteThanks
sir pwede poh bang malaman ung coding nung 2 200x90 and 300x250 na ads below your post title?
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog, i learned a lot.
Thank You!
@Bob - In Google's side, adserve.ph is compatible with Google Adsense as long as your adserve.ph ads don't look like Adsense ads. They should be distinguishable from each other. You don't see adserve.ph ads here because I don't run those ads here. Getting a decent Adsense ctr he is hard enough.
ReplyDelete@Anon - I used this-
<div style='float: left;'>
ad code for 200x9
ad code for 200x9
</div>
ad code for 300x250
Try adding <br/> before the 300x250 codes depending on your theme so that you get your desired effect.
*before the 300x250 code depending on your theme so that you get your desired effect.
ReplyDeleteok thank you sir,, about coding.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I got the answer. I also received this answer from Adserve.ph.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
brad magkano kita mo dito sa adserve?
ReplyDeleteInalis ko muna Adserve ads ko. Sobrang baba ng CTR e. :(
ReplyDeleteI tried Adserve yesterday morning (9am) and by around 3pm our Adserve reported 10k impressions with 2 clicks with earnings of 7.00php. The problem is that about 7pm, Adserve forfeited the 7 pesos and then sent me an email saying that we click inflated their ads.
ReplyDeleteI wrote to them last night and got a reply a few minutes ago saying their systems detected the clicks under a single IP....
Paano na kapag sa Internet cafes or behind a single IP gateway ang nag-click, obviously they will forfeit the earnings just like what they did to us yesterday.
Adserve's tracking system seems to be incapable of tracking individual machines (within a network)...not good for publishers like us.
I wrote back to Adserve Team about this and for the meantime, we'll remove Adserve from our website and give another ad network the space...
Sayang, oks na sana kasi we think PH based ang Adserve (eka nga Buy Pinoy)...look for other pinoy based (or owned) nalang muna kami.
Any other suggestions?
hey another carlo-named blogger here. Can you give approximate earning from adserve?
ReplyDeleteI never pursued adserve. Didn't seem like a very good network as time went on.
